Why are my HDPE panels so scratched?

You may have just received your Vention order containing HDPE panels and are wondering if they are of poor quality or were perhaps damaged in transport. However, HDPE is an opaque, impact resistant and durable material with good chemical stability and an industrial finish. By industrial finish we mean scratches such as the ones pictured below are totally normal with HDPE.
